I'm not dead! I was just trapped in a Larzarus pit. This is a short story I wrote for the Maine Author's Guild (Yes, we have a Guild)  in regards to a contest and a chance to be published. Unfortunately when I entered, they had already closed the contest and wouldn't accept anymore submissions. Ah well... So I am posting it to you guys. Tell me what you think. And for those that speak/read Dutch (or know how to access online translators) there is a shout out you may find. As if my inspiration isn't obvious enough... It is intended to be part of a series.

my girlfriend just told me that she wants to be "on break" because she feels smothered. fair enough. I respect her decission and it does hold some truth about it. I should of toned it down a bit. but..... she still cares about me but for all intents and purposes we're not togther. What do I do now? Do I wait and give her space or........?
